NAVAIR Mateship 2020" event where we will discuss
the continuing partnership between the Australian
Department of Defense and NAVAIR, and more importantly
how we are working together now to achieve "Closer
to the {global} flight line" capabilities for the
Indo-PACOM region (unclassified).
Meeting:
NAVAIR Mateship 2020
Date:
17 Nov 2020 (TBD)
Time:
1330 EST
During the 2020 Australia-U.S. Ministerial Consultations
(Jul 2020), Dr. Mark T. Esper (U.S. Defense Secretary)
and Michael R. Pompeo (U.S. Secretary of State) joined
their Australian counterparts, Linda Reynolds
(Australian Minister of Defense) and Marise Payne
(Australian Foreign Minister) at the U.S. State
Department.
US Department of Defense Article, July 2020
Following the consultations, Dr. Esper stated
"Together, we share a common vision for a free and
open Indo-Pacific where all nations, big and small, can
enjoy the benefits of sovereignty, where free, fair and
reciprocal trade are the norm, where states adhere to
international rules and norms and where international
disputes are resolved peacefully."
In that vane, and as we continue to work together to
support shared missions, NAVAIRs role in achieving a
"Closer to the {global} flight line"
environment and collective readiness is to accelerate
the speed with which we deliver capabilities and
implement effective long-term sustainment solutions.
A “draft" agenda for the meeting is available. The
final agenda will be posted at a later date.
